For my second CND Last Chance Design Lab challenge, I had to create a single bejeweled nail tip. The catch was that I couldn't use any embellishments: everything had to be hand crafted. I used CND Additives mixed with clear acrylic powder to create my custom colors for the jewels, and Shellac to paint accents and the base of the nail.

For the base of the nail tip, I used custom blended colors of CND Shellac to paint the top half purple, the bottom a rust, cured in a UV lamp, then applied VIP Gold Status over the whole nail and cured again.

Next I applied a layer of Shellac top coat and while still wet, placed all of the base layers of jewels, then cured in a UV lamp.

Repeat the last step until all of the layers of jewels have been applied. Before the final layer of top coat, use a silver paint to apply accents to the stones and nail, then cure when dry. Finally wipe with alcohol to remove stickiness, and done!
