Minx introduced me to a new world of nail art. I decided to combine Minx with my new favorite nails accessory, CRYSTALS and STONES.

Step-by-Step Nail Art Tutorial

1.) Start with a clear gel extension.  2.) Apply a thin coat of clear gel over extension and swirl desired color into the uncured clear layer, here I chose black. Add in small crushed opal for added dimension. Then CURE    3.)  Add gold glitter to select spots in your design. Have fun with this step. CURE   4.) Cover in white gel color and CURE.

1.) While building your extension leave out a space in the center and block off with small crushed opal. Add some lines to look like marble and CURE    2.) Cover surrounding nail in white color gel and cure.  Then shape, I used a very small e-file bit to clean around the center of the crushed opal.   3.) Using a very thick builder gel add crystal quarts in a patten to look like a crystal formation. Fill in around the quartz with crushed opal and crystal pixies. CURE

Here is an explanation of what products were used in making these embellishments.      All of the pieces were added to the nail using resign and activator. Dot the resin on the nail where you will place your stone and spray the activator on the stone and adhere to the nail....WORK FAST and BE PRECISE.
