Nails NTNA Pre Challenge "Cover Artist"

Shape nails in order to accommodate fish tails.  

Paint one thin layer of silver gel polish and while wet add dots of blue and white gel polish. Marble together. Full cure.  

Paint on a layer of translucent blue gel polish. Full cure.  

Wipe off dispersion layer and paint on the gold fish shape in white gel polish. Full cure.  

Wipe off dispersion layer. With a small dotting tool and acrylic paint, make orange splotches and dots. Repeat process with red and dark brown. Let paint dry in between colors.  

When coloured paint is dry outline the fish in black tack free gel polish, using a small paint brush. Flash Cure.  

Fill in the details. To make the scales I used a very small dotting tool dipped in tac free gel polish. I also added small white highlights in the eyes. Flash Cure. I start making the bubbles with dark blue acrylic paint.  

Once the blue paint is dry, mix some white acrylic paint with a drop of water to make the bubble color translucent. Add highlights of pure white acrylic paint in the bubble.  

Paint Nails in red gel polish with a small brush. Flash cure. Outline the letters with black gel polish and full cure. Paint on a few more bubbles to fill the nails.  

Place some white acrylic paint on a dotting tool and add some small dots in between the large bubbles. Wait for all the paint to dry then add gel top coat and cure.
