We were asked to transform our pink and whites into a haute couture look. I chose to do an antique crystal haute couture look. I love the look of silver, pearl, gold and white along with a worn tattered look.
Step-by-Step Nail Art Tutorial
1
I wanted to make some glitter embellishments, so I used a glitter gel along with some loose glitter on form paper to make a sheet of gel to punch out circles.
2
I did the same with some white and pink acrylic, So punched holes in the glitter and cut out strips of gel for my bows.
3
I started with Young Nails Canvas gel polish.
4
I decided to draw some lace for an added background to break up the plain background.
5
I wanted a worn antique finish, so I used a sepia ink around the edges of the nail and used my finger to blend it until I was satisfied.
6
Here, used the strips to start my layered bow inspired by a Stephane Rolland Haute Couture dress. I used gel to attach it to the nail. After creating the layered bow, I made a cluster of crystals on top.
7
Here are more strips of gel I fixed to the nail with gel. I used my mini led lamp by Young Nails to flash cure each piece.
8
I'm stacking the glitter pieces as a part of my bow using gel and flash curing after each piece.
10
I chose to frame the thumb with crystals to add to my antiqued look.
