This week our challenge was to create a street art-inspired set of nails with a pastel palette only with Orly products. I love graffiti’s and got inspired from them this week. The street artists usually deliver a message with their art so I decided to deliver my own message with this set of nails. These are the pictures that I got inspired of. The first picture inspired me to play with the shape of the nails and make them look like spilled paint. The other pictures inspired me to create the designs on the nails. At the two thumbs I painted a cat and I tiger. I believe that everyone has a strong side but sometimes we forget that and we become weak against our problems. The message that I want to deliver in this set of nails is that we always need to be strong and hope in our life. That is why one hand says the word “life” and the other “hope”. A cat acts like a tiger when she is in danger so she brings out her strong side against her fears. Use only regular polish for this set.  

1.Apply long forms, make them end in number five. Don’t prep the nail and apply cuticle oil on the natural nail to protect it and be able to remove the acrylic later. Extend the nails with acrylic and give the shape of spilled paint at one side to all the nails except of the thumbs. Give the shape of stiletto to the thumbs.\n2-3.Remove the forms and really carefully the extended nails.\n4.Give shape to the nails with a file 180 grit and then with your E-file give shape at the side of the nails to make it look more like paint. Use a cone bit for that.\n5.With your E-file give the shape of letters. Use a really thin cone bit.\n\n  

1.Το create the cat take different colors and give the shape of the head (use white, cotton candy, and mix white with flirty to create your own pink pastel color and also white with charged up)\n2.Use a dotting tool and make the eyes with electric jungle and let it dry. With cyber peach make two smaller dots in the eyes and design a triangle for the nose.\n3. Use “you’re blushing” to make the outlines at the eyes, the nose and design the mouth with your nail art brush.\n\n4.Use white and make two small dots to each eye to make them look shinny. With your brush make also a white outline at the eyes and then three long lines from each side of the nose for the mustache. Make a lot of short lines to all the face for the cat hair.\n5. Apply electric jungle at the top and bottom of the nail using a sponge and with your brush put some color under the cat to make it look like paint. With “everythings rosy” make an outline `of electric jungle under the cat and let it dry.\n6. Use white to make some splashes let it dry and apply top coat.\n  

1.For the tiger use different colors to give the shape of the head. Use (electric jungle, cotton candy, and mix white with charged up to create your own purple pastel color and also white with flirty to create your own pink pastel color).\n2. With your brush design the eyes with the pink pastel that you made. Use cyber peach for the nose and also apply some cotton candy right and left from the nose. \n3.Use “you’re blessing” to make the outline of the eyes , the nose and design the mouth with your brush. Use a dotting tool to make the dots at the eyes.\n4.Use white to make the tigers hair. Make a lot of short and thin lines. Right and left from the nose make a lot of small dots with your brush and let it dry. After create long lines for mustache.\n5.With a sponge apply some lilac city at the top and the bottom of the nail.\n6.Use cotton candy , white and country club khaki and give a tiger effect at the empty space .\n7.With electric jungle and white make some splashes at the nail , let it dry and apply top coat.\n  

1.Use lilac city and also mix it with white to create a lighter color and give the shape of trapezoids . Three trapezoids for each color. The darker trapezoids need to work like a mirror for the lighter ones.\n2. With everythings rosy create three rhombus. That way it looks like 3d cuboids.\n3.With the same way create more cuboids. Use electric jungle for one side, mix it with white to create a lighter color for the other side and white for the rhombus. For the other ones use metallic haze, country club khaki and cyber peach for the rhombus.\n4.Add more by using cotton candy , mix it with white to make a lighter color for the other side and cyber peach for the top. Create more with pastel purple for one side everythings rosy for the other side and pastel pink for the top.\n5-a-b-c-.Add some more with you’re blushing ,bon –bon and white for the top. At the top of the nails add rhombus with different colors using a nail art brush and dots with a dotting tool using white.\n6. To finish make an outline at the nail with metallic haze and put white around the letter “L”. Follow the same steps for the nails with letter “H” .Apply top coat.\n  

1.Make an outline with metallic haze at the nail.\n2.Use cyber peach and make it look like spilled paint. You can use your polishes brush to do that or if you can’t use a nail art brush. Continue with the other colors, first with “everythings rosy” and then with”you’re blushing”. (everythings rosy has to follow on the top of the nail too , you can see it in picture a. )\n3-4. Time to add more paint. Start by adding electric jungle and then cotton candy( make some splashes at the top of the nails, picture a). With pastel purple that you create with white and charged up make more paint and make it follow on the top of the nail, you can see it in picture a. To finish with the colors add pastel pink that you created with white and flirty and make splashes at the top and the side too, you can see the top in picture b.\n5. To finish with the side put white around the letter “I” to make it look like spray. Also make some small white lines at the splashes to make them look shiny.\nb-c. Add more splashes with electric jungle and cyber peach. Put small white lines at the splashes to make them look shiny too. Use the same steps to finish the other nail with the letter “O” , also right next to it -RLY to hide our sponsor this week ORLY. Apply top coat.\n  

\n1-a.Use different colors to create uneven triangles at the side and the top of the nail. (use cyber peach, lilac city and also create your colors by mixing white with flirty for pink, white with charged up for purple and white with cotton candy for orange)\n2-b Make different designs on every triangle with lines and dots using pastel darker colors. For the dots use a dotting tool and add bigger and smaller dots, for the lines use a nail art brush to make them thin. Look at picture b to see the top.\n3-4-c. Add more triangles with electric jungle, cyber peach and bon-bon . Mix electric jungle with white to create a lighter pastel color and paint details at the triangles. To create the details on the bon-bon triangles use “you’re blushing”. For the triangles with cyber peach use cotton candy for details. Take a look at picture c to see the top.\n5. To finish the nail make an outline to the nail with metallic haze and put white around the “F” to make it look like spray. Follow the same steps to complete the nail with letter “P”. Apply top coat.\n  

1-a. Use your dotting tool and create circles with different sizes. (use cyber peach, lilac city, you’re blushing ,electric jungle, everythings rosy, cotton candy) See picture a for the top. Let the dots dry to continue the design.\n2-b.In every dot add smaller dots with lighter colors. Also mix white with charged up to create a purple pastel color and add more dots, let it dry and add in smaller lighter purple dots.\n3-c. In every dot add one smaller dot with a lighter colors.\n5-d With your dotting tool add really small dots with different colors to the empty space of the nail.\n6.To finish make an outline at the nail with metallic haze and put white around the letter “E” and apply top coat.\n
