I am not a professional, I just love the artistic aspect of it. I am a mother of 5 kids and my two oldest are girls, they wanted hair and nails for all the school dances etc... I couldn't afford for the three of us to constantly get our nails done, so long story short, I taught myself. I have always drawn, pencil portraits mostly, so I took art classes to learn to paint and never really got the knack of it. I prefer pencils to paint, but I love with nail art! The compliments are addicting!
