Do you remember the kitchen floor tiles of the 1950's, I guess - or aren't you old enough; probably not! Those were mostly either black or green and "didn't show dirt." Your colors are much more exciting/interesting, I think. Very nice work.

Was this already a mix of flakes polish or did you somehow get large pieces in a suspension polish, say by creating a painted sheet of plastic bag and cutting it into "flakes?" TX for the info.

Ok...I will spill my technique secret ;) It's what I call Dry Brushing. Paint a base color, then using acrylic craft paint, dip a small brush in the color of your choice...just enough paint to barely cover the very tip of the brush hairs. Then, lightly touch the brush to the nail in various spots. Follow those steps with other colors for a layering effect. Black is good to use last to make it pop!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for explaining the Dry Brushing technique. I keep seeing one after another way of doing nails. Who would believe this?

Today I got to an art supply store and was able to pick up "dip pen nibs and holders" for acrylic work of design and sort of dot patterning based upon henna work which I saw on youtube today or last night, I think. I so enjoy being able to "be with" people who share my interest while sitting right at home. Who would believe we have arrived at this point where we have the life we do?
