"Rockstar" is a term that a couple of local (Tulare, CA) techs coined for the technique of embedding glitter, mylar, confetti, etc into the nails. Melissa Gacia (one of the mentioned techs) is an educator/distributor for Young Nails and did the cover toes for Nails Magazine in---ummmmm, November or December of 2008?-- and the term "rockstar" spread.

Yeah, that is a good name for it... I use the glitters in my acrylic as well, I haven't done much experimenting with it yet, but I am willing to learn everything about glitter styles cuz I just love the glitter in the acrylic. I have to buy those mylar flakes, they seem to be very appealing to the eye! Thanks for the answer, Now I will start calling them that :)

I love these impressions. Are they homemade or bought impression tools? I haven't seen anything like that yet.

The impressions for this set are triangular paper clips from the scrapbooking section of the craft store. I also make a lot of my own impressions and use a lot of earrings.
