Paint the nail pink. I chose to use gel polish so that if I made a mistake with my craft paint, I could easily correct it without having to start over again from the ground up.
Paint your outlines with your craft paint. I use CraftSmart because it's cheap and easy to remove if I make a mistake. Also, it dries fast and doesn't run when topcoat is applied over it.\n\nIf you can't tell what each element is, here they are in order from top to bottom: Alf, a piranha plant from Super Mario, a television set with the 80's MTV logo in the middle, a T-800 from Terminator, Pac Man and a ghost, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (Raphael, specifically), Tetris pieces, a question mark box from Super Mario Bros, and ET the Extra Terrestrial.
Add your details and some music notes up by Alf, using pictures as visual references. Outline each element of your design. I guarantee that if you were not comfortable with a liner brush before attempting this nail, you will be by the time you're done.
