Inspired by the colorful Swatch watches of the 1980s! Nail even features a glow-in-the-dark "rubber" watch guard sculpted out of clear acrylic.

I based this design off of a real Swatch from 1988 called the "Flumotions GN102."

Paint larger watch face shapes in orange and black first, working inside of outline.

Add hands and small details. Paint straps on the top and bottom of watch face outline. Sharpen up areas where lines and shapes intersect with a small detail brush.

Roll a small strip of foil around a thin orangewood stick. Remove carefully to retain shape.

As acrylic sets up, run a wet brush back and forth to stretch acrylic into a thin, round shape. Roll acrylic back and forth to work out any rough edges.

Trim cured acrylic into five smaller pieces to fit your watch face. Join with small beads of clear acrylic. Once cured, paint entire watch guard with glow-in-the-dark polish.
