Gold Animal Print w/stripes 2

I had a deep cut on my nail on the ring finger. I have been trying to grow my nails naturally, and I did not want to cut it down to the quick, so I took exception and applied a tip and cut it short to nearly the length of the other nails. The product I used was Wondertip by Nail Bliss. What I liked was the seamless appearance on the nail bed. With three coats of polish, you cannot even detect that a tip is on the finger. I have tried these nail enhancements on all of my nails at a longer length, and I did not like the results, with normal wear after about 3 days, the tips started to come off. Perhaps this was due to the stress of having them longer, but when they did start popping off, my natural nail underneath was damaged. I believe that is how this cut into my nail bed happened. So I am now just using them until this nail grows out long enough to cut it at the point where it is split.

I like this design for short fingers. It's cute and sophisticated at the same time. I like finding inspiration that looks good on short nails. And at the time of this writing this mani has lasted 4 days...I am so proud! That is with diligent effort...wearing gloves in the kitchen, using cuticle oil at night, lotion several times a day, and a fresh top coat daily. I am hoping to make it a full week without changing the polish. I believe this is key to helping to build strong long nails.
