I wear my nails au naturel and at a modest length (0.25 in or less), and have learned to shape them myself. I prefer the classic oval or almond shape, which is difficult to do well with a straight file, but I never did like the square shape at all. I've only started experimenting with silk wraps to repair or extend my broken nails. I am interested in the new stiletto look, and willing to learn about acrylics and gels to create it for myself.
