It only felt right to dedicate this 80's nail art challenge to one of Hip Hop's biggest influences during that time: RUN DMC. Their music was good, but their fashion sense was always on point as well!

Start off with a white base color.

Apply a royal blue color at the base of the nail (this will be for the faded jeans).

Using a stiff, slanted brush, paint and blend white polish into the royal blue polish while it is still wet.

Apply two thick horizontal lines using your red polish.

Using your black striper brush, paint on the 'RUN DMC

Using your black striper brush, paint on the 'RUN DMC" logo. (Remember, you can always clean up the lines with your white striper brush, so don't worry too much about having exact & straight lines the first time.)

Apply the T-shirt outline using your black striper brush.

Apply the faded jeans details using a fine point dotting tool (a toothpick, or needle can work too!). Outline by dotting along belt-line and pockets with white polish first and then with the royal blue after.

Cut and size your gold chain. When you're ready, apply your top coat. While the top coat is still wet, simply place the chain on the nail and apply a little pressure to let it adhere.
