These nails were actually easier than doing traditional nails. There wasn't any filing involved. I sculpted a rough thin nails shorter than I wanted the roses to be. Then, on a nail form I layed out a strip of acrylic and rolled it into a tube to be the centers. When attached these gave me the height of the roses. Then I prefabbed each petal on a form. They started out very narrow and got wider as the rose got bigger (like a rose). As I attached each one I rolled out the edge. The final touch was the greenery to hide the end of the petals. All in all, the entire hand (only five fingers for the photo shoot) took about 1:45 to do.

Hi!
My name is Nisha Ramirez and I am the beauty and style intern at iVillage.com. My editor is compiling a bunch of outrageous, but fabulous nail art creations. We would love to use your nail art picture for a slide show on our website.

If you are interested please provide me with the following information:

1) name
2) location
3) Are you always so creative with nail polish?
4) Was this nail art for a special event or just for a regular day?
5) Did you do it yourself?
6) What kind of nail polish and accessories were used?
7) and any other info you would like to provide about your nail idea.

Thanks,
Nisha Ramirez

Beautiful -- what an artistic statement. Yes, take time off to smell the roses, but more importantly, take time to do your nails :) LOVE!
