Start with a solid black nail
for the splatter effect, dip an old tooth brush in paint and run your thumb along the bristles
Using acrylic paint, I painted in the basic shape of each picture
next I added in the second layer of paint to start forming basic detail. (the shading on Jem, she-ra's crown, Gizmo's face and the black on the control)
the next layer of detail I added in the characters eyes, basic shapes of the control and the outline on Jem
add the last few details to She-ra's and Gizmo's faces and buttons on the control
outline everything with a very fine brush and black acrylic paint
add in some minor highlights to enhance detail a little further
to fill in the extra space, I added the yellow lightning bolt and lime green stripes
finish off the design with your favorite top coat
