I haven't tried the powder again. I bought a new kolinsky size 12 acrylic brush and it won't smooth into a flat or round shape. No matter what some bristles stick out and won't allow me to pick up a decent bead. Sending it back hopefully they will sort the brush or send another. Until then I don't have a decent brush right now. Will attempt again when I have one
