When I first looked through the Entity ads there was one that stood out to me immediately, the flames. All of the other pictures were very light and airy and I'm drawn to the darker colors. I wanted to represent the fire in a sort of abstract way to make them a little more interesting than just a flame on a nail. I used a combination of 3D and handpainted designs to represent the flame. I also added the Entity logo since thats who we're celebrating and incorporated a number 10 using the same style.

Step-by-Step Nail Art Tutorial

1
For the base of this nail use red and orange gel polish. Paint the nail half and half and then dragg the colors in the middle to resemble flames. Once that is cured add a red shimmer gel and orange shimmer gel. Cure. Then add some red and orange loose glitter at the tip and cuticle. Seal with topcoat and cure. Use acrylic paint to add the black design on top. Seal with topcoat.\n\nI used this for a ring finger, pinky, and a thumb.

For the logo nails use the same base as the last nail. Use black acrylic paint to paint a circle in the middle. Once that dries use a light orange acrylic paint to add the T's and the number 10. Seal with topcoat.

For the 3D nails, use the same technique for the base but swap the colors. Orange on top and red on the bottom. Used black acrylic on a piece of plastic or wax paper to sculpt the flames. Once they set, glue them to the nail and fill in the gap between the nail and the flame with a clear builder gel so they wouldn't snap off.

For the last design, use orange, yellow and red gel polish. Drop random blobs color and drag them into each other with a detail brush to create the flame look. Cure. Add some transparent yellow or orange glitter in random places. Seal with topcoat and cure. Paint on the black designs with black gel polish or acrylic paint.
