Welcome to the final challenge of NTNA 2015-2016!
This is a tutorial for the first set of nails we were asked to do, the theme was -
What is beauty to you?
For me in nail art and life nothing is more beautiful than colour and detail.
I find beauty in the fine details of henna designs. Henna encompasses the beauty of nature and culture.
I painted the base nails in a vertical ombrè rainbow, adding finely detailed henna designs (all using gel polish).
To add more pop of colour I used syrup gel to accent some of the design.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Step-by-Step Nail Art Tutorial
1
All Gel Polish used from GellyFit Australia.\nI chose to use all colours of the rainbow.
2
step 1.\nStart with a white gel polish as your base colour (if on natural nails you will need to add base coat under the white).\n\n\nStep 2.\nPaint each side of the nail with two colours of your choice (choose colours that are not too close in tone)\n\nStep 3. Gently blend the colours a little with the brush of the second colour you painted.\n\nStep 3.\nwipe the polish brush completely clean on a dental bib (lint free)\nand continue to slowly paint through the middle section where the two colours meet. Starting with small strokes, and then longer dragging strokes until the two colours have combined well.
3
\nCoat nails with one layer of base gel (removing inhibition layer) to smooth the painting surface.\n \nOnce finished the nails will look something like this.
4
Place black gel polish on a palette and ready your fine nail art brush.
5
With black gel polish on a palette, use a thin nail art brush and paint your henna designs.
6
with sheer gel colours add pops of colour into some of the voids to add dimension.
7
Once the designs are painted, apply base coat (and cure) to fill in any ridges, followed by a matte top coat.\n
