I chose to re-create a Ouija Board for our second NTNA Challenge. I was very inspired with a vision I had with the layout out of this project as a whole.
I wanted the nail tip to lay across the Planchette in a crescent fashion as if they were playing the game itself. This also set the back drop for a very Art Nouveau Ouija board. I tried to keep the rest of the art true to the actual game for the pictures tell the story. I also felt it was very important to include a set of the rules and instructions for there are only 3 and very basic.

BE SERIOUS BECAUSE IT'S NOT A GAME. Being in a serious mood ensures your natural psychic defenses are turned while you're talking to the dead. ...
ALWAYS SAY GOODBYE AT THE END. Mischievous or negative ghosts will refuse to say Goodbye. ...
NEVER USE THE OUIJA BOARD IN YOUR HOME.

I had so much fun creating my Ouija nails, now let's just hope they don't start moving around on their own!!

Step-by-Step Nail Art Tutorial

1. I started out by drawing my planchette and securing it in place with a piece of cellophane and tape. I then recreated a wood- like surface by applying gel in long lines in the structure of wood grain. (Cure)\n2. & 3 I used CND Shellac Iced Cappicino and Faux Fur for color and dimention.(cure)\n4. I filled in the Planchette hole with clear gel and finnished up with Akz'entz Matte-on.

To create my Sun and Moon I stared off with a make-up sponge and black gel. cure\n2. I removed the black disk and placed it on a piece of cellophane and painted on the suns rays with black gel and did the same to create the moon.\n3. After filling in the rest I used a metallic gel for luminosity and finished off with top coat.

I used the same technique for all of the above. \n\nIt was important for me to have the exact same images that are on the Ouija borad. I used my cell phone to capture and trace the image by securing cellophane to my phone and tracing the image with black gel.\n2.I then Fastened my images, numbers, and letters with Akz'ents Bling-on and Shine-on.
