Akzentz challenged us to take inspiration from days gone by, and dress up five nail tips on a hand, by making a nail design based on a vintage fashion period or piece. Akzentz supplied us with some amazing products for this challenge, including their Trinity clear Pro-Formance gel, so I knew I wanted to include some negative space after sculpting a set of custom press-ons with the gel, to show off how crystal clear it is! Not to mention, with the chrome Pearlescent Powders and Gel Play glitters, I couldn't help but think of the Golden Age of Hollywood era, in particular, Marilyn Monroe! I have always loved her sense of elegance, sex appeal and class, and that is what comes to mind when I think of Akzentz as a company and their products. Keeping in mind that we were very limited to using embellishments, no more than 10% of the design, and with receiving all the amazing glitters and colors, I would use those and the gel art powder to create my own! I wanted to use all the colors we were supplied with and create new and wearable concepts to showcase the possibilities with their products!
